Albany-Saratoga Speedway and Glen Ridge team up form a two-race Budget Sportsman Series.
The Budget Sportsman division is growing in leaps and bounds.
This division is helping to keep our weekly open wheel racing growing in these hard economic times.
The first race will be Friday August 29th at Albany-Saratoga, and the second will be Saturday August 30th at Glen Ridge. Home track rules, track tires allowed. If you are a Malta car at Glen Ridge you can use GoodYears, if you are a Glen Ridge car at Malta you can use Hoosiers. The point fund for the series will pay $600 for 1st, $400 for 2nd and $200 for 3rd.
Fuccillo Chevrolet of Nelliston, NY has come on board as a sponsor of the King of the Budget Series. Fuccillo Chevrolet has doubled the 2 race series point fund. Also Krash Mender has put up a $100 Bonus at both tracks to any driver that can win their heat race and then the Feature event on that evening. We are looking for additional sponsors for these events to make this one of the biggest events of the season.
Any Business or Fans interested in sponsoring the Series, a race, halfway, finishing positions, lap leaders, hard luck, hard charger, etc. in these races would be greatly appreciated.

Also get ready for "Rumble on the Ridge" for the modifieds! Romano and Spraker have waived the tire rule for this 40 lap showdown and special thanks to Advanced Lubrication Specialties, Fastline Performance and Andy's Speed Shop for putting up the extra money for the purse. The race will pay a record $1700 to the winner of the 40 lap event. $100 heat race bonuses are also on the line! This is a must see event at the Ridge, and one that will prove not to disappoint!
We will also be having a bicycle give-a-way for children. From now until the Rumble race kids can place there admission tickets into the box and be eligble for there chance at a new bike!
Street Stocks and Cruisers will also be on the racing card!
